More added value in the production of Allgäu Milch Käse with line solutions from a single source.

“If I invested again today, it would only be in a complete line from one provider.“

For more than 60 years, Allgäu Milch Käse eG has stood for cheese expertise from the heart of the Allgäu. The cooperative, rich in tradition, has developed into a modern, renowned company in the dairy and cheese industry. From the very beginning, values such as quality, sustainability, enthusiasm for innovation and a sense of responsibility have shaped its history. To this day, – reflecting these core values –, Allgäu Milch Käse produces high-quality dairy products – especially cheese –, and thus combines regional tradition with future-oriented progress.
With two line solutions from Weber, Allgäu Milch Käse has brought packaging into its own company – and now benefits from seamless automation from a single source. The company relies on a powerful performance line for cheese slices as well as a flexible solution for cheese cubes and pieces. Hubert Dennenmoser, Managing Director of Allgäu Milch Käse eG, explains what advantages Allgäu Milch Käse gains from this and why the decision to use complete line solutions from Weber was a real milestone.

High-performance solutions for cheese slices.

Maximum efficiency, 100% weight accuracy.

The first Weber line at Allgäu Milch Käse is a real high-performance solution for cheese slices. The focus is on the weSLICE 9500, combined with the weSCAN 7000. Using state-of-the-art X-Ray technology, the cheese blocks are checked for foreign bodies and at the same time density values are determined, which are passed on directly to the slicer. In this way, the slice thickness is regulated accurately – also with cheese with eyes such as Emmental cheese – and a hundred percent weight accuracy is achieved. The system is supported by the Vario product grippers, which control each track individually and guide it to the knife, thus ensuring maximum precision.

A wePICK robot transfers cheese blocks from the conveyor belt onto the plates of the weSHUTTLE

The weLOAD 5000 then takes over the automatic insertion before the wePACK 7000 reliably seals the products. Complemented by the weSORT 5000 isolation robot with empty and poor pack rejection, a consistent, highly automated process is created. With an output of up to 160 packs per minute, Allgäu Milch Käse achieves maximum productivity. At the same time, a single operator is enough to control the entire line – thanks to the networking of all modules via Weber OneControl. For Allgäu Milch Käse, this means: more efficiency, more safety and full added value in your own home.

One line – infinite possibilities.

3 in 1 cheese solution: How pieces, cubes and slices are created in just one line.

For maximum variety of uses, Allgäu Milch Käse has implemented a highly flexible Weber line that can process cheese pieces, cubes and, if necessary, slices on a system.

First, in this line too, the weSCAN 7000 checks each individual cheese bar using the latest X-Ray technology, detects foreign bodies and at the same time records the density of the product. This information is passed directly to the slicer. In combination with the Vario product feed, the disc thickness can be controlled individually and precisely. This means that the target weight is adhered to exactly for each portion.

The ShuttleLoader then transfers the cheese portions to the weSHUTTLE transport system, which is equipped with suitable carriers depending on the application – pieces or cubes –. The integrated buffer function bridges the reloading time of the slicer and thus ensures a consistent production flow. The weSHUTTLE positions the cheese pieces precisely under the punching station, creating weight-accurate and perfectly cut cubes. The seamless integration of the shuttle system, punching station and double picker enables direct further processing of the cheese cubes: thanks to the cutting wire monitoring, the picker knows exactly when the cubes are finished cutting and inserts them hygienically and gently into the package without wasting any time, so that no cube slips – for a maximally attractive product presentation.

Thanks to the high level of automation of the entire line, personnel costs are significantly reduced. At the same time, converting between applications takes extremely little time. The result: more efficiency, lower costs and an almost unlimited variety of applications – the perfect complement to the high-performance line for cheese slices.
