Weber construction project starts with symbolic groundbreaking.

Another foundation laid for innovation.

Weber Food Technology GmbH expands its site in Wolfertschwenden – in terms of space and personnel. At the end of May, a symbolic groundbreaking occurred, attended by Managing Director and owner Tobias Weber, company founder Günther Weber, and Managing Director Jörg Schmeiser, among others. Guests from politics and business, such as the mayor of Wolfertschwenden, Beate Ullrich, as well as colleagues and other external guests, also accepted the invitation to the ceremonial start of construction.

With this construction project, Weber is strengthening the future viability of the site and creating even more capacity for the continued growth of the family-run company. “By expanding the site in Wolfertschwenden, we are creating space for innovation,” emphasizes CEO Tobias Weber. “The new spatial, technical, and personnel possibilities will allow us to respond to our customers’ wishes even better in the future and work on tailor-made, innovative solutions in a targeted manner.” At the site, which was established in 2011, nearly one hundred employees work on future-oriented processing and packaging solutions for the food processing industry. The expansion of the Wolfertschwenden site will create an additional 1,600 square meters, which will include a further assembly hall with approx. 900 square meters and a logistics area of approx. 700 square meters. The building extension, which is financed with an investment volume of almost four million euros, will create space above all for new full solution lines. This will allow even line solutions with a length of over thirty meters to be installed and put into operation in Wolfertschwenden. “The Wolfertschwenden site is not only an important production site but also offers a conveniently situated contact point especially for our customers in southern Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy,” emphasizes Managing Director Jörg Schmeiser.

The Weber think tank in southern Germany stands for agility and efficiency and will provide even more space in the future to work on new solutions for the food industry. The expansion is not limited to spatial resources, however: The planned further development of the site also includes increasing the number of employees. The construction is planned to last around one year, so that the site expansion can be put into operation in the middle of 2025.
