Ground-breaking for new Weber construction project

With a symbolic ground-breaking ceremony, construction has begun on a new site of Weber Maschinenbau in Werther near Bielefeld in the Midwest of Germany. Together with Weber staff as well as regional officials, contractors and press, board members and ownership of Weber Maschinenbau on Tuesday opened the construction site at Rodderheide, thus starting work on yet another ambitious project.

Weber’s seven-figure investment goes into establishing both an office building and a workshop with a total area of approximately 6,000 square meters. The site will serve – among other assets – to manufacture components as well as forming/sealing dies and cutting tools for thermoforming packaging machines. „Thanks to a continuous further development and optimization of our machines and lines and through the expansion of our overall portfolio, our customers and partners have access to complete solutions, customizable to their specific demands. Having brought on board the packaging category, our portfolio has been completed with great additional value. Today’s ground-breaking therefore is much more than just a symbol of our constant growth as Weber, but it mirrors our focus on the demands of our customers. Werther furthermore is an excellent location because so many of our customers are right here in the neighborhood“, explains Tobias Weber, CEO of Weber Maschinenbau. Construction shall be completed for around 50 employees to move into the new facilities in mid-2019. With this investment, Weber underscores yet again its strong commitment to the Werther location and its staff.
