Donation for flood victims

The Weber Maschinenbau GmbH employees at the Breidenbach, Neubrandenburg and Groß Nemerow facilities and the company itself donated over 16,000 Euros to the German Red Cross (DRK) for victims of flooding. "The images moved us all: towns up to the rooftops in water, people who had lost all their possessions and rescuers doing their best to fight the floods and help the victims," said Mathias Dülfer, Managing Director. They spontaneously wanted to help. The company decided quickly to make 10,000 Euros available. The employees also wanted to support the company's commitment with personal donations. In the Breidenbach, Neubrandenburg and Groß Nemerow locations, they collected 6,135 Euros, so that they could transfer a total of 16,135 Euros for emergency relief and restoration to DRK's account. Mathias Dülfer: "We are proud of our employees' social responsibility. And we hope that the donations restore some hope to the victims and help them build up their livelihoods again." Entrepreneurial spirit with social responsibility The WEBER group can look back on a highly successful past. However, during this time of business growth, founder Günther Weber has never forgotten that people are the basis of his business success. As a result, he relied on solidarity and sustainability to reach his business goals, not on effects and speed. That can be seen in the fact that the WEBER group always fulfils its social responsibility to people and the environment. For instance, Günther Weber launched a foundation for child and youth welfare, promotion of education and training, protection of marriage and the family, sports promotion and promotion of animal breeding in 2007.
