More efficiency in food processing

At the leading trade fair for the packaging industry, Weber Maschinenbau presents powerful slicers combined with automated components. With flexible updates, Weber shows how maximum yield can be achieved with minimum giveaway in food production.

For example, the Weber Slicer 405 offers great flexibility with manageable investment costs in the medium automation segment. Slicer 405 will be exhibited at FachPack in a clever combination with the Weber SmartPicker and the Weber LED Scanner CPS 200. The Weber SmartPicker, a pick robot with a compact buffer integrated in the picker housing, supports unmanned production with a minimal footprint and can be retrofitted with a few components. This is a space-saving solution for smaller to medium-sized companies, which allows them to emulate larger companies in using powerful technologies and adapt their production processes flexibly to portion shapes and presentation and packaging formats.

As an optimal supplement, the Weber LED Scanner CPS 200 helps increase the good yield while also reducing the giveaway. Even dark areas on the product are detected and scanned reliably, regardless of the ambient light. That adds real value for manufacturers of high-priced natural products like Swiss- or Spanish-style air-dried ham.

The Weber Slicer 804, a compact all-rounder, has already proven itself on the market: The system impresses in all applications and cuts even demanding products, such as raw ham, with a constant performance, economy and flexibility. It features an integrated Weber Durablade® involute blade system, which reliably cuts 1500 slices per minute with a radius 365 millimetres.
