New apprentices and students start at Weber Maschinenbau

Currently, 63 apprentices and students are employed at the High Tech Company. These are split up among the three German production sites in Breidenbach, Neubrandenburg and Gross Nemerow.

Theory and practical experience from a world market leader

Four colleagues have already begun their integrated degree program or ‘StudiumPlus’ in economics, industrial engineering and engineering at Weber Breidenbach at July 1. StudiumPlus is an integrated degree program of the TH Mittelhessen (University of Applied Sciences). This is possible due to the cooperation between mainly Hessian companies, the local chambers of commerce and industry and the TH Mittelhessen. Weber also has co-operations for integrated degree programs with the University Siegen.

Preview for apprenticeship

At the beginning of august, the new apprentices had the chance to visit their new working place together with their parents. The kick-off afternoon commenced with a reception by human resources manager Hartmut Blöcher and Weber Breidenbach's operations manager Guido Sonneborn. Subsequently, a Weber Slicer has been presented by employees of the application technology department. The welcoming event was closed with a company tour. So, the apprentices could get an overview of their future working place. The parents in turn could get a good impression of their offspring's' new employer.

Next year Weber will once again offer young people the opportunity of apprenticeship in the following seven jobs: industrial clerk, technical product designer (formerly technical drafter man), electrician for industrial engineering, industrial mechanic, construction mechanic, precision mechanic and a warehouse logistics specialist. In addition Weber will be partner for integrated degree programs in engineering and industrial engineering.
